With an interdisciplinary background at the intersection between legal and political studies applying computational methods for data-collection and -analysis, I am observing in my postdoc project Romania’s (de)Europeanization. This project builds on my previous research but extends across multiple policy fields but extends across multiple policy fields and over longer periods of time (from 1997 until 2022) in order to reveal subtle patterns of legislative instability and inconsistent law-making practices, relevant for understanding and preventing reform back-sliding in Europe.

The Postdoc Network Brandenburg fellowship gave me the chance to shift my focus from qualitative research towards computational political science, opening a new universe of ‘big public data’ to draw conclusions from. This new perspective will inspire my future research allowing me to study processes in larger extent and generate results with higher impact.
